THE RELEVANCE
So why is a list of cars owned relevant to the Forte Vision ethos? The answer is because they were all driven daily. Our owner knows what to expect from a quality vehicle. Good design features and poor design features. The tactile quality of materials. The good, the bad and the ugly. This knowledge can only be gained by experience across marques. The Forte Vision car list documents the experiences of running both the mundane (often the most fun), to the exotic (often in bills).
WHY WERE SO MANY CARS BOUGHT?
In the eighties, the owner of Forte Vision, Stuart Brown, spent all his time reading Car, Car & Car Conversions, Fast Lane and numerous other magazines. In the nineties a bit of success enabled him to experience the dreams, and nightmares, of the vehicles he had previously only read about. A lot of reading meant a lot of cars and over thirty plus years this became almost 140 in total. Listed below, with a few bikes for good measure, but have probably missed a few.
THE LIST
Over time the Forte Vision vehicle list will be updated to include as many pictures, anecdotes and reviews as possible. Just follow the links.
Some weeks I did not have a camera with me, so some of the things on the list will be represented by copyright free web images. These will be clearly captioned (library). Some of these events were over thirty years ago, so please forgive and correct me for any inaccuracies surrounding car years and detail. Am normally pretty good though. Lastly, the images. Most a little more than snaps and taken at the dawn of the digital camera revolution. Also, this was the time when memory cost… a lot. In other words, am not working with a great image resolution.
Spoiler alert. I wanted, and still want, to love Aston Martin, but as a make they have been by far the most disappointing. So, to the Forte Vision list; the experience might not equal Jay Leno’s garage, but Forte Vision will give it our best shot!
