Forte Vision is founded by one of the highest qualified and experienced Computer Aided Design (CAD) operators in the world: Stuart Brown is a Certified Solidworks Expert – Mechanical Design – and has attended numerous additional courses and achieved many further qualifications. These range from a carbon fibre course, to engineering and business qualifications.
The CAD software we use is of the highest quality and is coupled with excellent hardware.
Then there is 17 years experience in 3D structured light and laser scanning, which can help when creating, amending and interpreting CAD drawings.
The above is still not enough however and over the years a myriad of macros, add-ins, plug-ins, special tools, combo techniques and more have been actively sought out and accrued to aid the design and production process.

A WORLD 1ST – BUGATTI TYPE 35 PROJECT
Forte Vision was the first to completely reverse engineer in CAD an out-of-production motor vehicle. This was a 1924 Bugatti Type 35. This may still be the case, as manufacturers and archives are more aware of Intellectual Property (IP) scenarios and therefore more reluctant to allow access to a vehicles DNA, in the form of plans, historic data and similar archive information. In other words, the ability to reverse engineer such vehicles may now be severely restricted, if not impossible.
The Bugatti Type 35 endeavour was documented in the January 2011 issue of Octane magazine, as shown below.
If the above wasn’t enough, Forte Vision (as 3D Engineers) won an innovation award at the inaugural Octane magazine International Historic Motoring Awards of 2010. In subsequent years Forte Vision won a further award and was shortlisted for another. Both of these were for Specialist of the Year.
COMPUTER AIDED DESIGN (CAD)

Our virtually Unique Selling Point (USP) is having scanning, scan post-processing, CAD and in depth knowledge of traditional ways of working to ensure the most effective methods are deployed to complete your goal(s).
Prices are £300 for a half day and £500 for a full day. Everything is quoted as a fixed price after a design brief is agreed.
